Speaking of fabulous cats, I just bought the new Snagglepuss comic book this afternoon . . . I'll let you know what I think of it after I've read it!

Cool. I haven't read that one yet either.

So now I've read it -- it's pretty good but would probably be more intriguing if I didn't already know so much about the events and characters depicted. The new Snagglepuss character rocks though.

But (and here's where I get pickily obsessive), what made me mental was a horrible historical anachronism committed by the writers and apparently not caught by any editors -- the chair of the House Committee on Un-American Activities keeps calling Lillian Hellman "Ms. Hellman." But the term "Ms" was not invented until the Women's Movement began in 1970 and did not become widely used in the mainstream for at least another decade. It would NOT have been known or used in 1953!

One delightful surprise was another old buddy of ours who shows up in the comic. I won't tell you who it is, but you'll like it, I'm sure.

Oh that is a HUGE mistake. You think not but if YOU caught it then others will and I bet it gets changed in any future editions. I wonder if the writer and artist know.
